Donald Trump Jr. leaves book event after being heckled by supporters

On Sunday, Donald Trump Jr. left his book event after being heckled by his own audience for refusing to take questions.

The event. Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, went to the University of California to promote his new book ‘Triggered: How The Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us’.

Twenty minutes into the 2-hour event, audience members became angry that the couple would not hold a Q&A segment. Their reaction came after the 450-person crowd was told “time constraints” made taking questions impossible, Washington Examiner reports.

Trump argued that holding a Q&A would provide the left-wing with soundbites to distort. “I’m willing to listen,” he said.

“Q&A! Q&A!” the audience yelled back.

“We’ll go into the lion’s den and talk,” he said.

“Then open the Q&A!” the crowd responded.

Guilfoyle then said, “You’re not making your parents proud by being rude and disruptive.”

The pair exited the stage moments later. Among those in the crowd were supporters of Nick Fuentes, an activist who hosts the podcast ‘America First’.

Two Fuentes supporters, Joe and Orion Miles, told the Guardian they worry the pro-Trump movement is being infiltrated by “fake conservatism” and that Trump is “at the mercy of a cabal of deep-state operatives who wouldn’t let him do many of the things he campaigned on.”

“It was an absolute disaster for them,” they said of Trump Jr.’s event. “We wanted to ask questions about immigration and about Christianity, but they didn’t want to face those questions.”
